I’ve talked to many people about NFTs, those that understand what they are and those that don’t. I found one reference that just about gets everyone to understand waht they are and how they work. It’s Rolex papers. Everyone knows what a Rolex is and understands without its papers, its value decreases. A Rolex paper says that the watch is authentic and shows proof of ownership. THat’s exactly what an NFT is, a digital version of Rolex papers. An NFT shows it is authentic and proof of ownership either of a digital item or a physical item. Once I used this reference, I never had anyone confused about what an NFT is and how they work.
